I’m Steve Riggs. A Composer, Producer, Musician, Engineer, Singer-Songwriter, Sound Designer and Music Production Mentor from Birmingham, U.K.
My passion has always been music, film and games and I’m now looking to gain experience in the industry as a composer.
Over my 18 years in the music industry, I’ve had success producing many genres under many different names.
Under my ‘dharkfunkh’ alias, I’ve had the pleasure of remixing for artists such as deadmau5, Yolanda be Cool, Robbie Rivera and Preditah.
I’ve produced remixes and original tracks through studio clients for Kylie Minogue, Boy George and the legendary pioneer, Arthur Baker.
I have released and helped others release on labels such as Interscope Records, Armada Music, Perfecto Records, Toolroom, Suara, Nervous Records, OFF Recordings, Cr2, KMS Records and Black Hole Recordings, amongst many others.
I have also recently released sample libraries on Zenhiser and Sounds2Sample and worked on prototype testing and market research projects with www.roli.com and www.freshminds.co.uk for their upcoming pro audio equipment.
I am a motivated, hard-working producer and I am skilled in both sound design and musical composition. I can effectively cover a wide range of genres. Anything from full orchestral, hybrid, electronic, hardcore thrash metal and everything in between.
My mission is to provide a suitable solution for yours and your companies musical needs and bring a fresh perspective to the project to enhance your vision in order to create captivating stories and worlds for audiences that will stand the test of time.
I pride myself on being able to turn my hand to any genre and complete projects with comprehensive detail by working with you to identify and solve problems along the way to get the best possible results out of any assignment. Building on-going relationships and working hard through the night and day to bring good ideas to life is my objective.
